Connecting Yourself

According to a study conducted in 2007 there were at least 2.7 billion mobile subscribers around the world connected with each other using either GSM or CDMA handsets and services. With the inception of mobile in 20th Century between (1960-1980) there have been drastic changes in the services being offered by mobile phones then and now. With the addition of 3G networks , the demand for quality contents has increased.

I myself have four mobile connections from different service providers so that I may be in contact with my loved ones and friends as well , not only this I too want different content for my mobile. In this context mobile marketing does play a very vital role and to manage these there should be a Mobile Marketing Company who can take care of our needs.

Imagine a small website can deliver products around the world and for its marketing it would require devoted team to handle the marketing campaign. Taking a small example , one of the websites using mobile technology started last year has delivered more than 130 million user generated SMS’es and has over 2.5 million users on it’s site. So imagine the potential of Mobile Marketing and it’s extensive reach.

Technology and Search

Its been quite a time since Google has made it debut and provided with advertising alternatives to all the individuals around the world. Each day there are cases of frauds in PPC and Search Marketing and there are number of cases pending in the courts as well. Some time back when I was active on Digital Point forums I saw a thread where his account was debited for $6k in a single campaign on Google Adwords.

Imagine the risks in PPC Marketing and search Marketing as well. Oh yes I forgot to mention that I am also a member of one Search Engine Marketing company named as Pepperjam Networks. It is a full time Internet Marketing Agency working round the clock. There are some features of pepperjam which makes it different from other conventional networks and the features are.

  1. Good quality affiliate tracking, reporting, and payment technology.
  2. Cool Web 2.0 interface.
  3. Reputed merchants.(E-Bay, DKNY, etc )
  4. Innovative pepperjam ADS™.(PPC , CPA  ads )
  5. Affiliate transparency meter(Higher the ratings you get paid more).
  6. Good communication tools( Communicate with the Merchant directly from within site).
  7. Resource center that you can use to gain knowledge!

Although they are around one year old but they continue to practice growing trends in affiliate marketing and Search Engine Marketing. If you have not yet signed up with them, I think the time is now.

Smartphones to Sport Folding TFT Screen From Next Year

It seems that the display screen of smart phones is growing proportionally with its growing fan base. That is why probably mobile phone companies are spending heavily on research and development of folding and rollable displays. These proposed displays have actually started a kind of rat race between companies as the first one to come up with these phones could easily hit a goldmine.

Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in association with PilotFish have engineered a TFT-EPD (Thin Film Transistor Electrophoretic Display) panel that could solve the display solutions for Smartphone manufacturers. It has a folding top display and a bottom sliding display which literally doubles the screen size to a whooping 5 inches. The two displays are separated by a 1cm flexible strip. In the images you would it appears that there is actually a break in the center of the complex display but actually it is the software taskbar. The next step which companies are gearing up to is bringing touchscreen feature into such large screens and it is expected to be made available for use sometime next year.

Search Results may not cure you

According to the news which came yesterday the top search engine of China i.e. Baidu was accused of showing irrelevant results thus providing high search rankings to unlicensed

medical providers and hospitals. Baidu is the topmost search engine of China having more than 60% share in the Chinese internet penetration. As a result of this news the stocks of Baidu tumbled in NASDAQ.

The CEO of Baidu Robin Li, in an interview to the Chinese State News Agency Xinhua said that employees working in Baidu who helped unlicensed medical providers to get high rankings were fired and several others will surely loose their jobs in coming days. He also mentioned that they have removed the keywords for all the four clients ( High Ranking Unlicensed medical providers ) and also started checking documents of other clients in the client list.

Reports say that one customer wasted more than 10000 yuan ( 950 Ponds or approximately 1450 dollars) at a clinic he chose because it ranked high for a particular keyword in Baidu. The clinic paid Baidu nearly 17 yuan per click to top the listings. I would say that never believe such listings so you would never have to waste such amount of money on youself and not get cured.
