Motorola W 233 Renew

Motorola has taken a step forward in terms of recycling stuff, reducing excess packaging, and offsetting carbon footprints and released their first recycled mobile phones.

The handset name would be Motorola W 233 Renew.

According to the sources Moto Renew has been carved out of used plastic bottles, (not a difficult task but definitely commendable).

Moto W 233 has got a characteristic green shell, which obviously represents Moto’s effort. As far as the looks are concerned the phone is not the one you would like to die for. It would have been nice if Motorola had come up with something more interesting to match up with their concept.

It would be fun to see what you as users think of this product.

Motorola Gearing Up For New Year with New Phones

After losing the battle of top US cell phone vendor to Samsung, it seems that Motorola has learnt a few lessons. Their RAZR was extremely popular, until the launch of iPhone (which broke all sales records). Well what is past is history and hopefully New Year would be a bit better for Motorola.

FLASH
CALGARY
INFERNO

RUSH 2

Motorola are planning to launch 4 brand new mobile phones, which by the looks are far better than RAZR. Three of these four mobiles are touch screen and all of them have their full names (Flash, Rush 2, Calgary and Inferno). These mobile phones are likely to be available in packages with Verizon.

Hopefully these mobile phones will breath new life into Motorola’s dying sales and profit margins.

Smartphones to Sport Folding TFT Screen From Next Year

It seems that the display screen of smart phones is growing proportionally with its growing fan base. That is why probably mobile phone companies are spending heavily on research and development of folding and rollable displays. These proposed displays have actually started a kind of rat race between companies as the first one to come up with these phones could easily hit a goldmine.

Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in association with PilotFish have engineered a TFT-EPD (Thin Film Transistor Electrophoretic Display) panel that could solve the display solutions for Smartphone manufacturers. It has a folding top display and a bottom sliding display which literally doubles the screen size to a whooping 5 inches. The two displays are separated by a 1cm flexible strip. In the images you would it appears that there is actually a break in the center of the complex display but actually it is the software taskbar. The next step which companies are gearing up to is bringing touchscreen feature into such large screens and it is expected to be made available for use sometime next year.

Nokia N97: Can It Challenge the iPhone

New NokiaN97 will sport a 3.5″ touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera and an amazing 32 Gigabits of memory. The 5MP camera will be supported by Carl Zeiss Tessar lens and dual LED flash. You would be able to record DVD quality video as well. The phone will also allow a memory upgrade of 16 GB, taking the maximum available memory space to whooping 48 GB.

The Nokia N97 is expected to be priced around $ 700.It will allow a music playback of 37 hours and 4.5 hours of video playback. Nokia N97 will run on Symbian S50 5th Edition and is expected to be very similar to 5800 Express Music in terms of user interface.

You would be also able to get widgets on to your home screen. Nokia says that with these gadgets you would be able to update social networks with your details regularly.
