Google Chrome is without doubt one of the  fastest browsers around and has clearly raised the bar of high speed browsing even on slow internet connections. It is exceptionally quick at startup and is lighter than  most of the other web browsers as far as system requirements are concerened. Change Firefox 4 Tabs Positions to Top or Bottom of Address Bar

Mozilla has just  launched Firefox 4 beta for public download. The new version comes with multiple code and design changes. On the design side, the change most visible is the location of the browser tabs which have been moved to the top of Firefox window and above the address bar somewhat similar to Google Chrome.  Firefox users have been accustomed to see browser tabs located below the address bar.

Downgrade Firefox 3.6 to 3.5 or earlier versions

Justin asks: My Firefox 3.6 keeps on crashing every time I try to open multiple tabs. There was no such problem in Firefox 3.5. How can I downgrade from Firefox 3.6 to 3.5 ?

Safari Reader – First Look Video

Here is a video of how Safari Reader in Safari 5 filters out articles from the webpages. We have randomly choosen 4 webpages. 3 of these webpages have articles while the 4th one doesn’t . Note how Safari 5 replaces the Reader icon in the address bar with the common RSS icon when it encounters a webpage without articles.

Enabling Safari Reader in Safari 5

Among all the new features introduced in Safari 5, the one that stood out was the Safari Reader. Why? Because perhaps it is one of few innovations that developers of other browsers haven’t yet thought about. All of them are working on improving JavaScript engines, extensions and increasing speeds but Apple is the first one to introduce something as innovative as Safari reader.

In simple terms, what the Safari reader does is that it auto detects the articles within webpages, and pulls them out for simple article only view. This means that you don’t waste your time in figuring out what portion of the webpage is the article and what is the advertising.

Safari 5 Released – Download Now!

Apple has released Safari 5 for public usage. It has come with loads and loads of new features. Apple announced it by a press release during the ongoing WWDC 10 .
