Delete Yahoo Account Permanently

So, you have finally decided to delete Yahoo account permanently and want to know how to do it. The process is pretty easy and would hardly take 2 minutes but you need to know a few things before we move ahead and learn how to delete a Yahoo account.

Things to Know

1. If you delete your Yahoo account, you will lose all data associated with that account. These include:

Yahoo! Mail , Yahoo Messenger , Yahoo! Address Book , Yahoo! HotJobs , GeoCities ,My Yahoo! , Yahoo! Groups , Finance Portfolio and any other area of Yahoo! that can only be accessed with your Yahoo! ID and password

2 . Once you delete your account you cannot reactivate it and you will lose all features you have personalized within your account.

3 . Once you terminate your account with Yahoo, it keeps the email id for another 90 days to avoid fraudulent activity. During this period you will be able to receive emails as normal but you won’t be able to access it.

4 . Once the period of 90 days is over, the id is available for re-registration and other people can practically own your email identity without your knowledge.

Checklist before Deleting Yahoo Account

1. Update your contacts that you are terminating the account and provide them email address for future communication
2. Cancel all subscriptions to Premium services.
3. Backup all your important Yahoo Mails and received or sent files/documents
4 .Backup your Yahoo Mail contacts

2 . Fill in your Yahoo id and password.
