Gmail introduced People Widget earlier this year, a move that was appreciated by most of its users. However in old browsers and beta versions of new browsers, some of the Gmail users are facing issues of People Widget hiding some/considerable of the parts of email messages.
The issue can be easily resolved by using latest stable version of web browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. However for those users who want to disable the Gmail People Widget here is a step by step guide.
Step 1: Click on the Gears Icon in the top right hand corner, and select Mail Settings.

Step 2: In the General tab, scroll down and select Hide the People Widget.
Step 3: Click Save Changes.
Unless you really hate the People Widget, we recommend updating to latest stable versions of web browsers. Here are the links:
Google Chrome | Firefox | Internet Explorer
