Answer: Internet Explorer is one of the best and the most successful web browser till date with millions of PC owners using it worldwide. Until 2005, MAC’s also came preloaded with Internet Explorer but when Apple introduced their web browser Safari, Microsoft stopped all development and support for the Internet Explorer for MAC.
Last stable version of IE for MAC was IE 5.2.3 and was released in June 2003, almost 7 years ago. You can download Internet Explorer for MAC here.
I personally wouldn’t suggest you to go for it because of the following reasons
- It lacks all the features of modern web browsers like browsing speed, flash support, tabbed browsing, private browsing, superfast JavaScript engines, extension support and pop up blocking.
- It lacks modern day security settings necessary for secure browsing.
- Due to high media content on most of the websites, browsing web on IE 5.2.3 is a pain and it seems to crash at every opportunity it gets.
My suggestion for you would be to go for Firefox, Opera or Google Chrome. They are all pretty fast browsers, especially Opera 10.52 which was released a few days back.

I recommend Safari 5.0.
