If you are looking to tweak a few settings in your Netgear Router, you are going need Netgear default password and username to login into the router’s web based set up page.
This page can be accessed by typing the URL http://192.168.0.1/ in the address bar of your browser. Once you press enter , a pop up window would ask you for username and password. For most of the new Netgear routers the defaults are:
Username: “admin”
Password: “password”.
However the default username and passwords for different Netgear routers vary a lot and therefore we have compiled a list for your convenience.

Using these Netgear Default Password and Username
Step 1 : Properly connect your router to the computer and switch on both the devices.
Step 2 : Once both, computer and router are ready to use, load a web browser and type the URL http://192.168.0.1/ in the address bar and hit enter.
Step 3 : You will be now asked for username and password. Choose the correct combination from the above list and hit enter.
You should now be able to access the router’s Control panel .
